SUMMER PAINTOUTS!

All artists, beginning, aspiring, or experienced,
are invited to join members of the Northstar Watercolor Society
on their summer paint-out excursions.
You do not need to be a member of the society,
or even paint in watermedia, to participate.
Grab your medium of choice and join the fun!

JUNE, 2009 Painting Dates and locations:
June 24:
Burlington Northern Santa Fe RR Yard and Industrial Site.
St Anthony Parkway (33rd NE and Main St NE (one block W of University).
There is a parking lot. Lunch at Sarnia’s.

JULY, 2009 Painting Dates and locations:
July 1:
St Paul Seven Corners. Meet at 7th and Kellogg. Lunch to be announced.
July 8:
Como Park Carousel, zoo or conservatory. Meet for lunch in the cafeteria.
July 15:
Sculpture Garden, Minneapolis. Parking is metered along the street and
self pay machines in the lot. Lunch at the Walker Art Center or elsewhere
as spur of the moment ideas arise.
July 22:
St Anthony Main. Paint the river, Mpls skyline, bridges, people under umbrellas
having coffee etc. We can eat at the outside café there or at Nicollet Inn,
which is pricey but whatever the group decides.
July 29:
Marie Hammond has invited us to her home to paint in her backyard overlooking pond.
1200 Josephine Rd, Roseville, bring pot luck to share.

AUGUST, 2009 Painting Dates and locations:
August 5:
Lake Calhoun in Minneapolis. Meet at the boat rental which is on the NE corner of
the lake on Lake St. and Calhoun Blvd. Parking there or at meters close by.
Paint sailboats, people at the café, people biking, skating, Eat right there at the café.
August 12:
Loring Park.  Park on Harmon Place (south of Hennepin on 16th and Harmon
by Minneapolis Community and Technical College). Paint the skyline, the park, the flowers,
people walking in the park and eat at Joe’s Garage.
August 19:
46th St and Hiawatha Ave., West side of light rail station. Paint the rail and passengers.
Eat nearby to be announced.
August 26:
